Our Commitment to Non-Intrusive Scanning

At NetSpider, we are dedicated to enhancing global cybersecurity through our advanced IP scanning solutions that responsibly analyze publicly accessible network data. We adhere to strict ethical scanning practices and refrain from engaging in any unauthorized penetration activities. Our scanning processes are designed to detect and report on information that is already publicly exposed on the internet by the network owners themselves.

How We Scan

Our service operates by accessing only publicly visible information as disclosed by internet-connected devices. This means that we do not attempt to bypass any security measures or access private data. Our scanners collect data that could include, but is not limited to:

  • Open ports
  • Visible service banners
  • Other metadata that can help identify potential security vulnerabilities exposed to the internet
The Purpose of Our Scanning

The primary purpose of our scanning activities is to provide cybersecurity insights that aid organizations in enhancing their network security. By identifying exposed services and vulnerabilities, we help network administrators understand potential security risks, enabling them to take necessary corrective actions to protect their systems.

Opting Out of Scanning

If you prefer that your networks and devices are not scanned by NetSpider, you can easily opt out by configuring your firewall to block incoming scans from our IP ranges. You can find the list of our IP ranges in the following link:

How to Block Our Scans

To block our scans, add our IP ranges to your network’s firewall or intrusion detection system as a blocked source. If you need assistance with configuring your firewall settings to block these IPs, please refer to your firewall’s user manual or contact your firewall provider for support.
